Fall Leaf Collection
Each year, Latah Sanitation provides a Fall Leaf Collection Service for City of Moscow residents. During the collection, residents may place leaves and other non-woody lawn and garden trimmings out for curbside collection.

Residents are asked to haul their leaves to Moscow Recycling's 24 hour yard-waste drop-off site located directly behind Moscow Recycling on N. Almon Street. If you are unable to haul your own leaves, then call Latah Sanitation (208) 882-5724 or Moscow Recycling (208) 882-0590 to set up an appointment to have your leaves collected. Christmas Tree Drop-Off
Residents may drop off their tree at Moscow Recycling’s 24 Hour Yard-Waste Drop-off Site located directly behind the Center on N. Almon St.

Businesses, tree farms, and residents outside the City of Moscow may take their trees to Latah Sanitation for composting at no charge.

Please:
• Remove all lights, ornaments and tinsel
• Remove tree stand and nails or metal supports.
• If your tree is taller than 5’, chop into sections of 5’ or less.

Fluorescent Tubes

For cleanup of broken fluorescent lights, visit www.epa.gov/mercury/spills/#fluorescent

For disposal, bag both ends and take to Latah Sanitation or place in trash and contact Latah Sanitation so they can alert the drivers.

Liquid Waste
Please drain or solidify liquids with an absorbent material such as kitty litter before placing in your household trash.

Animal Bedding and Pet Feces
Animal bedding and pet feces should be placed in a securely fastened plastic bag before it is placed in household garbage.

Medical Waste
If you generate medical waste which could pose a health risk to collection workers, please make arrangements for medical waste collection by calling Latah Sanitation at (208) 882-5724.

Please place sharps (needles) in a strong, covered, leakproof container that is red and/or labeled with the biohazard symbol. These containers are readily available from pharmacies and drug stores.

When your container is full, please contact LSI and inform them that you will be placing your sharps container out with your trash that week. This allows our collection workers to take extra care with your trash, and ensure that nobody is accidentally injured.

Carry Out Service
Carry out service is available for those persons who, for reason of physical limitations, cannot place their garbage out at the curb for collection. If you are in need of this service, please call LSI at (208) 882-5724.

Container Rental
Rolloff containers (22-yard and 30-yard capacity) are available for rental. Please call LSI at (208) 882-5724 for rates and scheduling.
