Tire Amnesty Day - May 29, 2010
Latah County residents may dispose of passenger and pickup tires, without rims, at no charge (no businesses please). No truck tires, implement tires or tires from outside Latah County will be accepted at the drop-off sites. Tire drop-off stations will be placed at the following locations around the county for Tire Collection ONLY: Deary Bulky Waste Site - Located on Line Street behind the grain elevators Genesee Bulky Waste Site - Turn south on Jackson off of Chestnut St., then left on Morscheck Rd. Juliaetta Bulky Waste Site - South of Juliaetta on HWY 3 past the ball park, across from Browning Cut Stock Moscow Recycling - 401 N. Jackson, Moscow. Tires will be collected in the lot just south of the recycling center Potlatch Bulky Waste Site - 1/4 mile west of Potlatch at the old Potlatch Mill Solid Waste Processing Facility - 3299 Hwy 8 East (Troy Hwy)

Each year, Latah Sanitation, Inc. provides a Fall Leaf Collection Service for Moscow residents . Resident who are able, are asked to please haul their leaves to either Moscow Recycling's 24 hour yard waste drop-off site located directly behind Moscow Recycling on N. Almon Street or to Latah Sanitation located on HWY 8 East during their operating hours, Monday - Saturday, 8:00 am. - 4 pm. Residents who are unable to transport their leaves to one of these facilities are asked to make an appointment by calling Moscow Recycling, 882-0590 or Latah Sanitation, 882-5724 at least one day before the designated collection days to ensure your leaves are removed. During the collection, residents may place leaves and other non-woody lawn and garden trimmings out for curbside collection. - Available to City of Moscow residents on pay-by-the-can garbage service ONLY - Leaves must be placed on the curb in the same location your trash is collected - Leaves must be on the curb by 7:00 a.m. - Leaves must be placed in biodegradable paper bags (available for purchase at Moscow Recycling), open-top containers or open (untied) plastic bags (empty plastic bags will be left behind). - NO TIED PLASTIC BAGS--tied plastic bags will be left on the curb as trash.
